Articles About “Entertaiment”
Entertainment takes many forms and can be adapted to any scale: from a private individual choosing entertainment from a now enormous array of pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two; to a party adapted for any size or type; to performances intended for thousands; to the global distribution of a work of art. Entertainment often has a lighthearted or playful intention, but may also be serious in purpose: such as the various forms of ceremony, celebration, religious festival, and satire.
The word ‘entertainment’ derives from the medieval Latin intertenere, meaning to hold inside. Entertainment often hits on the points that the brain was evolved to deeply react to, such as social backstabbing and murders.
