It keeps us from being bored, and it helps our families grow closer together. Regardless of our busy lives, we all need time to relax and have fun. Entertaiment is the amusement, distraction or pleasure derived from a performance (from the Latin entretenir, to keep or entertain). It includes all forms of recreation and leisure activity, from personal electronic gadgets to sports and arts (1,3). It may also involve children’s play, which prepares them for adult responsibilities and social interaction (2,3).
